What to know

Getting there

Aba is the gateway: high-speed rail stations and the airport connect to the rest of Sichuan. From the city centre, a taxi or DiDi is usually the fastest option; public buses serve the main gate.

Insider tips

  • Avoid the first three days of the October Golden Week and the Spring Festival rush if you value quiet.
  • Carry your passport — many ticketed sites in Sichuan require real-name booking for foreigners.
