What to know

Getting there

Fly/rail to the coast Fuzhou, then a 30–90 min ferry or speedboat to the island (tickets at the pier).

Insider tips

  • Book the return ferry before 15:00 or plan an overnight — afternoon ferries fill fast in summer.
  • Rent an e-bike on-island: most islands are 10–20 km and best toured by two wheels.
Where to stay

Stay in Fuzhou (mid-range ¥300–600; luxury from ¥800) — see the hotel map layer.
