- 钟南山，GML（1936年10月20日—），籍貫福建廈門，中国醫學家、教授，中国工程院院士（1996年）。專長慢性阻塞性肺病及其他呼吸道病。2003年起中國歷次呼吸道传染病（SARS、H1N1、H5N6、H7N9、MERS、COVID-19）的防治領軍人，尤以在广东省防治2003年非典型肺炎（SARS）傳染病聞名，他領導的广州呼吸疾病研究所主動接收SARS患者，並找出了医治皮質激素恶性股骨头坏死后遗症的療法；2020年嚴重急性呼吸系統綜合症冠狀病毒2型傳染病暴发，83歲的鍾南山在疫情初期代表中国官方首次确认病毒有人传人的严重现象，促进大众重视防疫，并出任中国國家衛健委高級別專家組組長主理。 防治傳染病之外，钟南山自2004年起關注肺炎與霧霾的關連，2012年3月、2013年3月全國人大會期期間積極向媒體宣傳霧霾議題。其他職銜包括：1992-2002年广州医学院院長（今廣州醫科大學校長）、2006-2011年中華醫學會會長；1993－2008年任第八、第九、第十屆全國政協委員；2008－2018年任第十一、十二屆全國人大代表；1997年任中共十五大代表。
